PSA - Please Sign This Petition, Prevent More Death

PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION

Friends, I come to you with less than stellar news. As you all know I don't ordinarily do things like this but I know many people very close to the situation and I think it's important I do what I can to help.

In late May the young girl above was struck by a pick-up-truck on her way to school. She was hit, flew 70 feet and shortly after died from her injuries. She was 14 years old.

The young girl is the cousin of my friend Donna, Donna also happens to be in a long term relationship with one of my oldest friends. Donna and her family have always been beyond kind to me and it was truly a dark day when Kaylah passed.

The intersection where she was hit is one of the busiest in South Chicago, over 60,000 cars see this intersection every single day. There are no pedestrian walk buttons. The crosswalks are all old and faded. It needs to be fixed.

So please, sign this petition to revamp the intersection at Southwest Highway and Cicero Ave. Kids use this intersection everyday to get to school and it's clearly unsafe. I appreciate it guys, I really do, and so does Kaylahs' family.

It doesn't matter where you live either, just sign it.

Definitely signed. It's only way that further tragedies like this can be prevented.
