**THIS IS THE WXRT STREAM**

Another amazing night with one of the planets finest bands and lucky for us Chicago's very own radio station (the only decent one in the city really), WXRT, broadcast the sh*t out of it.

The venue of this show was a curious one. This minor league baseball stadium located in the Chicago suburbs was a pleasant surprise though, despite some of the worst concert traffic I've ever seen upon entering. Wilco really played the "Dad Rock" card with this place though, located in the suburbs, kids under 4 got in free, sort of funny.

Andrew Bird opened up for Wilco, which is always a treat. Unfortunately I don't think his sound translated all that well in the open space. I was pretty darn close (front of soundboard, off to the right) and I definitely had a hard time picking up the intricacies of his sound. Pick up his new album though, Break It Yourself, is a great record.

Wilco were on point and in good spirits, Andrew Bird came out a few times to lend his beautiful violin to a few tunes (gotta love "Jesus, etc." with a real violin) and of course we got the pornostached (inventing words!) crew member enthusiastically banging a cowbell during "Hoodoo Voodoo." What a beast of a song too, Nels Cline and Pat Sansone trading licks. I'm going to go on record saying that Pat Sansone might be my favorite member of Wilco. He's very unassuming, usually doing his thing behind a barricade of keyboards, but when he comes out with that Telecaster, all eyes are on him. The dude shreds with the best of them and I'd really like some solo material out of the guy (solo, not any of his other projects).

But, my words certainly won't do Wilco justice, give her a listen and hear for yourself.
